This project provides you the unique chance to work closely with these amazing creatures. The main aim of this wildlife sanctuary is to give care to neglected, abused or unwanted wolves and wolf dogs.

The sanctuary is home to about fifty resident animals and gives each one the best possible environment, improvement activities, medical attention and nutrition.

Voluntary Work

You will become part of an important educational scheme, helping the sanctuary to teach the public about the wild wolf and the epidemic of abandoned and abused captive wolf dogs and bred wolves.
Animals are put in compatible pairs or family groups in enclosures.

Habitat corrals range from 5000 square feet through to one acre in size all with natural rocky terrain, many trees, and native plants. Several enclosures even have ponds or other enrichment additions. Volunteer duties include amongst over duties:
  • Walking and socialising the animals
  • Cleaning the enclosures
  • Feeding wolves and preparing Wolf food
  • Landscaping/Gardening
  • Carrying out maintenance duties
  • Conducting tours
  • Helping with outreach programmes and events
  • Administrative tasks
  • Separating raw meat donations
  • Sanitising and cleaning food and faecal buckets
