Are you planning your big trip soon?

We have lots of people who send off for a brochure and look at our website, but then decide to wait before planning their big trip.

Why wait??

There is never a perfect time to take off on a gap year or career break. If you need reasons NOT to go, we can think of hundreds!

Maasai Tribes

But if you start looking for reasons not to go, you are heading down the path of the people who will just think about it and never end up actually doing it.

Don't dream about it...do it!

Nothing is too big a barrier to prevent you from going. Start planning now...we can help and we understand your concerns. We speak to people every day who have been there and done it. They all found it hard to make the break from their daily life, but once they started travelling, they had the most amazing experiences.

I know, because it took me 2 years to build the courage (and the finances) to take my own gap year.

My trip was life changing and the memories will last me forever.

Programme news

Teach in China: We have developed a new programme on the beautiful island of Hainan, off the south coast of China. You can teach English to high school students, learn to speak Mandarin, and have plenty of time to travel around too.

Minimum stay is 3 months, and the cost is just 699 pounds plus approximately 500 pounds for your flight. This includes meals and accommodation for the entire time you are there, plus you get a 4-week training and orientation programme to learn how to do the job.

Hainan

The children are really keen to learn English, and you can get involved in all sorts of community activities too...and the weather in Hainan is nice and hot year round.

Been there and done it!

Susan Felton, Nursery Nurse, Essex, aged 52
Volunteer Project - 4 week volunteer programme to Himachal Pradesh, North India.

Case Study

I have been a nursery nurse for the last 18 years and I found myself at a crossroads in life when my husband of 31 years died. I was not ready do travel solo but I felt a need to do something worthwhile during the summer holidays to keep busy.

I have always had an empathy and passion for India, I love the food, clothes, music and the people and I had my mind to visit. I liked the idea of seeing a bit of the country before embarking on a volunteer project of teaching English to children. I chose this project to travel with like-minded people of similar ages to myself.

I felt brilliant on this trip and I learnt so much about myself. I loved meeting people from different cultures and countries.
