Arachnids cover all of the following: spiders, scorpions, harvestmen, ticks and mites. They are different from other insects because they have eight legs instead of six.
They are mostly carnivorous, feeding on the pre-digested body of insects and other small animals. Many arachnids are venomous - they secrete poison from specialised glands to kill prey of enemies. Other arachnids are parasites, some of which are carriers of disease.
This programme deals with the rehabilitation and care of abused horses in the Wild Coast area of South Africa, and is a must for anyone who really loves horses. You will ride on trails through the dramatic scenery of the Wild Coast, passing through beach lagoons and lush green game reserves.
