Skills Requirement None – open to all abilities
Golf Training Programme Your instructors throughout the programme will be Professionally Accredited members of the Australian PGA, carefully selected to offer the best available instruction to our academy members.
Golf Courses The Real Golf Academy uses 2 of Queensland’s top golf courses to ensure that students have access to the best available facilities and get to practise in a varied playing environment. The 2 courses are detailed below:
Robina Woods Set in 65 Hectares of Native Australian Woodland, the 18 Hole, par 71 Robina Woods Course is considered to be among the top 25 of all Australian resort courses and is renowned for its rolling fairways and fast, true greens. The course has many water features, including ponds, creeks and lakes.
Please Note: You will be based at the Robina Woods course where you will receive the majority of your professional instruction.
Colonial Golf Club You will also have the chance to play the challenging Colonial Golf Club as part of the Golf Academy Programme. Although similar in character to the Robina Woods course, it offers a different challenge to the academy players, with some genuinely innovative features stemming from its unique design. Measuring 6424 metres, it is a par 72- course, set in 39 Hectares of land and boasting waterways, lakes and towering eucalyptus trees.
Project Age Limit The participants on this programme may be of a broad age range. Maximum age decided on potential participants’ health. Programme Support During your programme, you will receive the support and guidance of our local coordinator. They will be on hand to answer your questions and offer any advice you may need during your time at the Academy.
In addition, we will provide you with our 24 hour emergency contact number before you depart, so that you can contact one of our UK staff at any time should you need to.
Local Orientation Once you have been met and picked up from the airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation where you will have a chance to settle in. On your first full day, your coordinators will guide you through the golf academy programme and answer any questions you may have in your orientation. Your orientation will cover:
- Expected behaviour – etiquette, behaviour on and off the course, dress code
- Safety – areas and places to avoid, what to do in an emergency
- Locations of important amenities – banks, hospitals, embassies
- Transportation and travel in Australia – where to go, how to get there
Please Note: The majority of your orientation will cover issues related to the golf programme. If you have further questions related to the areas highlighted above, you should ask your coordinator.
