Australia Island Experience
After meeting your team leader at the office in Sydney you will be taken to the Wollongong region where your volunteer experience begins.
Voluntary WorkYou will spend four days here working on a coastal wetland rehabilitation project undertaking activities such as seed collection, tree planting and weed removal. After having a day free to explore the area you will spend the next five days doing land care conservation activities at the bush camp or a nearby site.
At the end of this section of the programme you will travel by boat over to Montague Island where you will spend Friday and Saturday exploring the island and learning about its environmental, historical and cultural significance, and of course spend time relaxing and having fun!
LocationStarting in Sydney, you will travel south to the Wollongong region for the first part of the programme and then travel by boat to Montague Island, off the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
