If you’re a complete beginner or just want to improve your current abilities, then sign up for the ultimate nautical adventure.

The Courses

Learn to sail in Australia’s premier location and enjoy the spectacular tropical paradise of the Whitsunday Islands. You’ll be learning a great new skill or building on past knowledge to cruise gracefully across the island bays. When you’re not learning sailor skills you can swim and snorkel in the marine life packed waters of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

The sailing school that will help you gain your sea legs is an accredited Yachting Australia training centre and has been operating around the Whitsundays for more than ten years. Your instructors are all highly qualified and experienced Yachtmaster Offshore or Ocean Instructors and these courses are recognised internationally.

The yacht will be your classroom it is be modern, speedy and small enough for all the students to have a very hands on experience – beginner or experienced. There is a choice of three courses that you can enrol onto depending on your qualifications and previous experience. All 3 of the courses are available for 6 days/5 nights or 23 days/23 nights.
  1. International Crew Certificate: Beginner
  2. International Bareboat Watch keeper: Intermediate
  3. International Bareboat Captain: Advanced

Location

The gorgeous Whitsunday Islands, just off the Australian East Coast between Cairns and Brisbane.

Accommodation and Meals

Your accommodation throughout the course will be onboard your course vessel! The yachts sleep up to 6 people and 1 skipper. The cabin you are staying in will be shared and your meals are included. For those that choose to do the 23 days/23 nights option you will spend 12 nights onboard the vessel and 6 nights in shared backpacker accommodation.

We are able to organise pre and post course accommodation for you in Airlie beach at an additional cost. This way you can be sure you don’t miss the boat!
