All of the courses set from the Abel Point Marina at Airlie Beach. Before you board ship and take to the tropical waters there will be an in depth orientation and safety briefing. As you sail from one island anchorage to the next there will be a good mix of theory and practical sailing. The yacht itself will be your classroom – it will be modern, speedy and small enough for all the students to have a very hands on experience – beginner or experienced.
You must be a minimum of 18 years of age, maximum decided on a participant by participant basis.
Programme Support Whilst you are on your Learn to Sail course you will have the competent assistance of the experienced, qualified instructors throughout. As there will be no more that 6 students to 1 instructor during the course, you will have the best in personalised service. You will also be given the Real Gap 24 hour emergency number so you can contact someone in the UK office if you really need to.
Programme Orientation You’ll arrive at the Airlie Beach marina and be immediately be given a full briefing about your upcoming nautical adventure! This orientation will give you more detail on your chosen course, what will be involved and what you are going to learn and most importantly, an in-depth safety briefing. We want to make sure that you are happy and confident before you set sail but there will always be someone for you to ask questions to throughout the voyage if you need to.
