The waterbuck is normally found in scrub, savannah and woodlands near water in sub-Sahara West Africa and most of central and eastern Africa. Despite their name it would seem that waterbuck do not like the water at all! These beautiful animals have a shaggy, coarse coast that is reddish brown to grizzled grey in colour, which darkens with age.  Visit the South Africa pages |
