Loved working with the snakes and the koalas.

Jeanette Crompton, June 2009
An excellent experience. The staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Working and handling the animals was a priviledge and a pleasure. The rangers put in so much effort training volunteers. Being prepared to totally "muck in" is vital to get the full experience. I was collected from the guesthouse every day at 6.30am, there is no late start, but I didn't mind at all. Some days you finish at 2.30pm, sometimes 5pm. It all depends on which ranger can take you home. Being flexible about days off helps the rangers organise their days. You are fed & have a drink at morning break and at lunchtime. You are provided with T shirts and a cap as a uniform. I would say you need hiking boots or similar for daily use and smart shorts. I have no complaints about my time there, the whole thing was amazing and I'd do it again tomorrow!

If you have been on this travel project, we'd love to hear from you!
