Where will I be staying?
You will be spending two nights in a great hostel in Adelaide and the rest of the time you will be accommodated at the sanctuary. You will be staying in shared cabins whilst you are on the project, have a look at the Further Information on the webpage for…further information!

Will I have free time?
You will have both Saturday and Sunday off every week as well as most evenings after 5pm as free time (some evenings may have scheduled animal monitoring activities. You can use this free time as you wish, to leave the sanctuary and explore the surrounding are or to just relax and hang out with your fellow volunteers.

What is the area like?
The sanctuary is located close to the city of Adelaide, one of Aussie’s biggest settlements where there is loads to do including plenty of museums and art galleries for the those after culture and also plenty of restaurants, clubs and bars for anyone after a bit more of a wild time.

The town of Sterling is the urban centre closest to the sanctuary, and has a small town feel to it. There isn’t a lot to do here, but it is a nice place to pop to every so often to use the Internet. Sterling doesn’t really have much of a nightlife to speak of, so take advantage of the weekends if you wanted to head into Adelaide for a few drinks or a nice slap-up meal.

Is food included?
Yes, all three of your daily meals will be provided throughout your time on the project. If you want anything a bit special, like chocolate and biscuits etc, these are available for you to purchase.

What kind of things will I be doing?
Your main responsibilities will revolve around sanctuary maintenance and animal handling and feeding. Have a look at the further information on the web page for a lot more details on what kind of activities you can take part in on this project.
