Programme details
Sucre is one of the most scenic destinations in Bolivia and its colonial architecture is a remarkable sight. Traditional dress and ceremonies are still upheld by a sizeable indigenous population, providing an opportunity for cultural immersion, which adds to the diversity of Bolivia and makes travel here a wonderful experience.
What the children of the city need most is the chance to have fun and relax, volunteers are needed to organise and get involved in recreational activities such as sports, drawing, painting and dancing, and help with day to day care such as cooking, cleaning and meal time assistance.
As there is no set schedule at the centre, where and when your help is needed will be subject to change. Volunteers who are flexible with the time and help they offer will not only find the placement to be a rewarding one, they will be a vital part of building the children’s skills and confidence through a variety of activities.
Please note: The diverse range of projects across the city is a great opportunity to work with different people and develop new skills. If your preferences lean in a certain direction please let us know and we will do our best to place you accordingly if possible. Your placement will overall, depend on the requirements of the projects at the time of travelling.
