Bolivia Orphanage Volunteer
If you would like to do something worthwhile with your time out then this is an excellent and rewarding project. You can help enrich lives of Bolivian orphans.
The orphanage is located in the centre of the city and cares for abandoned children between the ages of 0-6 years old. The orphanage is very well maintained with good facilities and the organisation is renowned for its excellent quality of care.
Voluntary WorkVolunteers are needed to organise recreational activities, such as painting, drawing, dancing, music and sports. You will also assist in the basic daily care of the children including cooking and feeding, but above all you will be giving care and affection, which for many of them will be the first they have had in their lives.
Accommodation
Our comfortable and high standard shared accommodation is in an apartment ideally located in the city centre. It's perfectly located and is just a short walk to shops, Internet, banks, bars, restaurants and cafes. You will be given a key so you can come and go from the project as you wish.
The orphanage is just a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment.
Option to combine with language school course
If you choose to combing this volunteer programme with our Bolivia Spanish Language School then your programme will also include:
- Met at La Paz airport by our representative
- 1 night accommodation at the Ritz hotel
- Internal flight from La Paz to Sucre (one way)
- Private room accommodation with a host family
- Host family provides 2 meals a day - Breakfast & Dinner
- Laundry service
- Language lessons 4 hours a day, 5 days a week
- Maximum group size of 4 students
- 2 or more organised activities each week
- Visits to indigenous Bolivian villages
- Fun classes to help you learn the Salsa dance
- Advice and support from the on-site staff
- Lots of opportunities to travel & explore at weekends
