Project Requirements
All the volunteers need to have some knowledge of the Spanish language before starting their volunteer work, not only to get the most out of the project, but also to integrate with the locals and afford themselves greater independence.
If you do not already speak Spanish it is strongly recommended you take our language course prior to the start of the programme. These are available for 2 or 4 weeks, and are easily combined with the project.
Project Duration
We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of 4 weeks as this facilitates the build up of trust between you, the children and the staff.
Meals
Please note meals are not included during your stay in the apartment. Usually volunteers take it in turns to cook meals or simply eat out at local restaurants, which are very cheap by western standards. A standard 3-course meal can cost as little as $1-$2 for the money-conscious volunteer!
