Bolivia Spanish Language School

Trip code: BOSL
Learn Spanish Abroad

The Bolivia Spanish Language School is a fantastic way to start your adventure. Learning the language is the best way to make the most out of your volunteer project.

Orientation

On your first day of the programme you will have a full orientation with our onsite staff. They will guide you around the city and help to answer any questions you may have. It will involve:

  • An introduction to Bolivian culture and values
  • Your health and safety whilst in Bolivia
  • Money and transportation in Bolivia
  • An introduction to the area where you will be living
  • Local food and practices
  • Areas of Bolivia worth visiting in your free time

They will also show you around the school and its facilities.

Accommodation and Meals

You will be staying with a local host family who are well known by the on-site co-ordinators and staff. They will speak mostly in Spanish to help you develop your skills as much as possible. Your families will include you in all their daily activities and treat you as part of the family. They will provide you with two meals a day and the houses will be no more than five to ten minutes walk away from the language school.

Free Time

During your time at the language school, you will be completely immersed into Bolivian culture in your free time and with your host family. So in addition to the Spanish tuition, there are two to three organised activities for you each week, as well as numerous cultural events. Some activities may incur a small additional fee to cover entrance fees, bus fares, and so on.

Project Age Limit

Minimum 18 years, maximum dependent upon individual participant’s health.
