Bolivia Youth Voluntary Project
All the children attend schools in the morning, then once at the centre in the afternoon, they have workshops in leather working, metallurgy, shoe making and carpentry. The centre aims to teach them a manual skill, should they not go on to university in the future.
Voluntary WorkVolunteers are urgently needed to help the children increase and develop manual skills. Your working hours will be varied. You have the choice of working either in the mornings, afternoons, evenings or even at the weekends.
Daily activities vary according to your interests. Volunteers should be flexible in their attitude & have experience of working with adolescents.
You can transfer any skills you might have, in order to help the children with:
- Sports
- Manual labour
- English

LocationThis project is based in the lively and beautiful colonial city of Sucre: one of the chief cities in Bolivia. The city and its surrounding villages have substantial indigenous populations that keep up their colourful costumes and customs - a wonderful place to volunteer.
Accommodation and meals
Our volunteer apartment is eight blocks away from the volunteer project: about a twenty-minute walk, or a short bus journey away. You can request a private or shared room, but you will have to share a bathroom, living room and kitchen with other volunteers.
Please be aware that meals aren’t included in your stay in the apartment. A project host family live nearby on the same street, and can provide a laundry service during your stay.
