Voluntary Work
Volunteers play an integral part in aiding the development of the area whilst retaining traditional ways of life. Time will be spent working in village schools both teaching, and helping with refurbishments.
Other activities may involve assisting with women’s activities, helping during the local rubber harvest and for volunteers on the four-week programme, forest regeneration activities. Also included in the programme is a trip to the world famous Sepilok orangutan sanctuary.
Volunteer duties are dependant upon the needs and priorities of the village at the time you are there, which makes any time you can give to the project even more valuable.
