Borneo Camp Life Experience

You will be located in Ulu Moyog area in the foothills of the Crocker Range National Park, about 30 minutes from Sabah’s capital - Kota Kinabalu. Whilst the village is not on the poverty line, it predominantly relies on subsistence farming and on a small local rubber plantation.

Malaysia

The country of Malaysia offers some amazing contrasts. Whilst Kuala Lumpur is a rapidly expanding, modern, and hi-tech city, the world’s oldest rainforests can be found in the countryside. There is a vast abundance of jungle and wildlife for visitors to explore.

As well as the stunning beauty of the peninsular and Borneo, Malaysia, the country also boasts perfect deserted beaches and awe-inspiring mountains, making it an amazing place to travel. There is no end to Malaysia’s highlights – with so many cultures packed into one place, there is just so much to explore.

Time
Malaysia is 8 hours ahead of GMT.

Getting There

You will need to arrange flights into Kota Kinabalu airport. You will be met by one of our project representatives on your arrival and will be transferred to your project accommodation to settle in before the start of your orientation.

Climate

Malaysia enjoys a tropical climate. From November to February the monsoon brings rains to the country.  The dry season runs from March to October. Malaysia has an average temperature of 30°C.
