In the afternoon you will be able to truly emerse yourself in the local culture by having the opportunity to learn more about the lives and traditions of the community by joining in with their day to day activates. This means that you will be able get involved in activities such as harvesting, helping at the local market, dance, sport and social interaction. You will also be able to assist with English lessons that many in the community, young and old, attend and greatly who appreciate your contribution. (BLD)

Day 6 – Trip To Klias River
Spend the morning in Kota Kinabalu catching up on some shopping or relaxing. In the evening you will have a traditional Malay dinner and then watch an amazing natural display of Fireflies as they come out in the early evening before you return to the homestay. (BD)

Day 9 – Community Farewell
After a final day of working with the community you will say goodbye to the people that you have worked closely with over the previous 9 days. This will no doubt take the form of more local dishes to eat, perhaps a drop of local rice wine, dancing and gongs. (BLD)
