Teach children in Cambodia and give them a chance of a better future. You will have an extremely rewarding experience, with ample opportunity to explore Cambodia.

Volunteer Role

Educate and assist some of the country’s underprivileged children. A better education will open up more options to them, and help them to escape a life of poverty.

Your time at the centre will be divided between teaching English, drawing and painting and helping draw up lessons plans. Any advice and support you can give the children on health education will be just as useful. You might also be asked to help with keeping the classroom tidy, and with project support work, such as general administration and maintenance.

Location

The Khan Meanchey and Khan 7 Makara areas of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

Accommodation & Meals

Your accommodation will be a twin room in a guesthouse, which you will share with another participant from the project. Your room will have cable TV and a fan to keep you cool and you’ll also be able to use the guesthouse lanudry service and request a safe box if you wish.

The guesthouse is ideally located, with a popular market and several restaurants nearby. Meals are not included in the project but volunteers will have no problem finding cheap, tasty meals, either at the guesthouse restaurant or at the restaurants nearby.
