Can I travel by myself?
|

|
The idea of travelling alone may be daunting, but the vast majority of our travellers are also going by themselves so in many ways, you are not really alone at all!
It is also worth asking yourself, how many people do you know that you would want to be with 24/7? We are guessing it's not many, if any. By travelling alone you will find it easier to meet fellow travellers, and, from a perfectly selfish point of view, it also means you can do what you want to do, when you want to do it.
One benefit of travelling with Gap Year For Grown Ups if you are going by yourself is that we do not charge the single supplement fees that many other travel companies do. We welcome solo travellers because so many our Grown Up gappers are travelling by themselves.
Finally, we can assure you that you won't be alone for long if you don't want to be. Prior to travelling we are able to provide you with a ‘buddy list' of other Gap Year For Grown Ups who will be on the same programme as you and when you reach your destination you will find the programmes to be welcoming, friendly and socialable. Most people on the programmes form close bonds very quickly particularly if they are volunteering, as there is a common goal that everyone is very passionate about. We can't promise you will like everyone you meet, but we can almost guarantee you that there will be plenty of people who after just a few days you will see as good friends.
