Gap Year Safety Course

Gap year safety should be a high on your list of dos when planning your time out. Real Gap offers a one-day safety course to make sure you have the gap year of a lifetime not the gap year from hell.

How Safety Savvy Are You?

You may think staying safe on your travels is just down to common sense? And to a certain degree you're right - but being aware of potential dangers is important too. Would you really know what to do?

Why Go On A Gap Year Safety Course?
This comprehensive one day course is designed to make sure you are prepared for your travels and to ensure you know as much as possible about travelling safely on your trip. We want you to have the time of your life whilst you are away and this course will teach you the skills and give you the know-how to enable you to do so.

Professional travel safety advice
Get advice from expert travelers who've been there and done it. Our trainers have extensive travel experience in all areas of the world and will be able to impart to you the knowledge they wish they'd had before they went!

Fun and interactive
The course is not only informative but also fun and a great way to meet other travellers before you go. You will learn through lectures and role-play to get the most out of the day. The instructors are all experienced travellers and have encountered many of the situations themselves.

Prevention rather than cure
Anyone embarking on a gap trip should give serious consideration to attending a safety course. While very few travellers do run in to any serious trouble, this safety course offers peace of mind by preparing participants for any situation.

Potential problems shouldn't faze you; it's the fun part of going travelling... the unknown. However, you'll have more fun if you're not worrying about them, so why not take the time to learn what to do, should they arise? The gap year safety course we offer could help you: find out what that Indian head wiggle means, how to navigate public transport that is in a foreign language and help you keep out of trouble with the local law enforcement.
