Ghana Effortlessly blending both modern and traditional life, it is easy to see why Ghana is considered West Africa’s most hospitable nation. Its people are friendly and gracious with a contagious and calming sense of humour.
Bordering Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo, the country has a tranquillity and serenity that is hard to match and boasts beautiful tropical beaches as well as the world’s largest artificial lake, Lake Volta.
Weekend Travel During your stay in Ghana you will no doubt be keen to visit some of the interesting sights and attractions the country has to offer.
You will be able to take time out during your weekends, though please make sure you discuss this with your coordinator and keep your host family informed at all times. Like any family, they will naturally worry about you if they don’t know where you are!
Getting There You will need to arrange your flights to arrive into Katoka Airport in Accra, Ghana, where you will be greeted by our Ghanaian project coordinator and taken to the hotel to begin your orientation.
You will need to make your own way back to Accra upon departure and fly home from Katoka Airport.
