The Scuba Diving Academy is based in Australia and will not only equip you for working in the diving industry, but it will also give you a wide range of life skills that would enhance any other career competences such as public speaking or being self-confidence under pressured situations.

Included is a full set of your own diving equipment to keep, including wet-suit, BCD, regulator, fins, mask & snorkel etc!

The Divemaster Programme

This programme aims to help you graduate from beginner to Divemaster level with ten weeks training.  It has a less intense structure than other courses, allowing you to get enough diving experience, while enjoying Byron Bay’s relaxed environment. It is essential to understand in Scuba Diving all of the practical and theoretical elements of every stage, so the course aims to give you a thorough grounding at every level, rather than rushing you through another new level.

Structured tuition starting in the swimming pool, then open water, and the classroom will bring you to the level of dive master.

To attain the status of Divemaster, you have to complete the following various courses:

1. PADI Open Water
2. Advanced Open Water
3. Emergency First Response
4. Rescue Diver Course
5. Divemaster Certification

Location

Byron Bay, Australia

Accommodation and meals

The on-site accommodation is in a hostel-type lodge at the diving centre. The first 2 weeks are spent in an eight-bed Dorm room.  You will then transfer into four-bed dormitories after that. The lodge has modern facilities of washrooms, TV room, kitchen, and BBQ facilities. Run by the diving centre, it exclusively accommodates the scuba centre students only. You will have to buy your own food and meals on this programme.
