Byron Bay Situated in the Northern part of New South Wales, Byron Bay is a must-visit destination for anyone travelling up or down the East coast of Australia. The town is rightly famed for its superb beaches, excellent nightlife and opportunities for surfing and other adventure activities. From a diving perspective, Byron Bay is ideally located on the most Easterly point of Australia, where the tropical waters of the Coral Sea meet with the fish rich seas of the South. This ensures a fantastic mix of underwater wildlife, including leopard sharks, manta rays and turtles, making Byron Bay one of Australia’s greatest dive locations and the perfect base for a long-term stay in Australia.
Australia Australia has a very strong outdoors culture and life often revolves around barbeques and beaches. It has a strong suburban lifestyle in the cities: everything you have seen on “Neighbours” is true! However Australia takes a great deal of pride in its stunning landscapes, outback traditions and its indigenous tribes are now celebrated and protected.
Weather Byron Bay enjoys very warm summers (Dec-Feb) and mild winters (June to August).
