Ethical Expo

Drop in and see us at the Ethical Expo 2008, Bristol, 9-10 May

We'll be laying out our stall in Bristol - alongside Oxfam, Christian Aid and Fairtrade to help promote the concept of ‘changing the world with trade'.

We're excited about this fantastic new event - Tony Hickman, its founder, says: “We believe what happens here in these two days can light the touch paper to an ethical revolution in this country.”

Well we hope so and we hope you'll come along and add your voice, too. It's going to be a great day out and they'll be loads to see and do. Here's a small selection:

  • Marquees for Live, Eat and Wear
  • Marquee for Seminar
  • Farmers Market
  • Gazebos /Outdoor Stalls
  • Global Gang - Children's Area
  • Eco House

How you can be inspired by Ethical Expo 2008

Do you recycle your newspapers but want to do more? Have you ever wondered how your efforts are helping reduce poverty?

If so, put the FREE Ethical Expo 2008 (EEO8 for short) into your diary now!

Run in conjunction with Oxfam, Fair Trade and Christian Aid, EE08 offers loads of opportunities to find out how you can help create a fairer world, and who you'll be helping when you do. Gap Year for Grown Ups will also have a stall where you can find out about seeing the world while making a difference.

Leading a more ethical life doesn't have to mean camping in a field and washing in a stream! At EE08, there'll be practical tips for fitting ethical into your day-to-day routine without giving up life as you know it. More than 60 companies will have trade stalls at EE08, so you can see who is putting their money where their ethical mouths are.

Informative seminars, workshops and speakers will provide all the inspiration you need to make subtle but effective changes. Another must-see is the Chocolink, a live, web-based TV station linking consumers in Bristol with Kuapa Kokoo, a farmers' co-operative in Ghana.

REAL fully support the EE08 principles and we're looking forward to attending on both days.

Ethical travelling plays a major part in the REAL programmes, whether in obvious ways - through projects that benefit underdeveloped communities - or just by helping our participants get the most of their time abroad.
