Galapagos Island Teaching Volunteers

Trip code: EGTV
Teaching the children how to read

This project gives you the opportunity to teach English in the Galapagos Islands. Learning English is a compulsory part of the curriculum for most schools in Ecuador, however, there are not enough teachers to fulfil this. In recent years, volunteers have filled this gap and freed up sufficient resources to invest in the children's futures.
