Ghana is well known for it's friendly atmosphere and it's rich history. As a community volunteer on a Ghana career break you can support the local communities of Ghana by helping in various career break volunteer projects.

The voluntary work in Ghana includes working with children on a career break teaching project, or caring for them in local orphanages, or working within the community on a health care project or a community development project.

	Football and Teaching Project Ghana

Join this programme and help to coach football and teach English to school and street children in Ghana. Sport, particularly football, has been an excellent medium to alleviate the financial and educational hardships that many children in Africa face and has been the perfect way to encourage children to interact and develop on a day-to-day basis.


	Ghana Community Development Project

As a community volunteer, working and living amongst the Ghanaian people, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the wonderful culture of the country, and experience firsthand what life in these communities is like. As a volunteer, you will also be taken through a comprehensive and detailed orientation, as well as a week long guided tour around Ghana.


	Ghana Netball Coaching

Get involved in developing Ghana’s grassroots netball talent, it’s one of their best female participant sports! You can improve your coaching skills by coaching all different levels, depending on how much coaching experience you’ve got.


	Hockey Coaching Project Ghana

Sport is a terrific way for people of all countries to find common ground, and hockey is now one of the fastest-growing games played in schools and clubs throughout Ghana. This programme is ideal for anyone with a good grounding in hockey who wants to share that skill and enthusiasm with some of the more deprived children of West Africa.


	Rugby and Teaching Project Ghana

Join the Rugby Coaching Programme to help develop a sport that is in its early stages of growth. Help to raise its profile as a genuine national sport, with coaching at grass roots level. If you have experience and coaching qualifications, it is even possible for you to help coach the National sides.
