Guatemala Community Outreach Project
Be part of a successful and exciting community development programme and help change the lives of Guatemala’s underprivileged families. On this varied programme, volunteer help is needed in teaching children, building and health care projects.
Voluntary WorkThis is a varied programme that needs help across a number of areas:
1)Education Teach English, how to read and write, computer skills, physical education, art and crafts and basic mathematics
2)Healthcare Help with dental care, administering vitamins and supplements and in providing nutritious food and drinks
3) Building Work Carpentry, building classrooms, sports areas and recreation facilities
Location
14km outside of Antigua in a friendly town called Alotenango, the aim is to provide free healthcare, recreation facilities and education for the children within the community so that they can enjoy their childhood.
Accommodation and mealsVolunteers live with a typical Guatemalan family in Antigua or Jocotenango. You will have your own private room with a key to the main door for your own convenience. The bathrooms all have hot water and flushing western toilets, you may have to share a bathroom with fellow volunteers. You will be provided with 3 meals a day, a packed lunch at the project site and breakfast and dinner provided by the host family.
Language SchoolThis project can be easily combined with our Guatemala Language School which will give you basic language skills enabling you to get so much more out of your time in Guatemala. Guatemala Language School

Duration and prices: 4 weeks £499, 6 weeks £599 2 week language and 4 weeks volunteeing £749 4 week language and 4 weeks volunteering £999
