Combining stunning natural beauty and authentic Latino culture, Guatemala fully deserves its budding reputation as one of Central America’s top travel destinations.

The Experience

Week One - Learn Spanish
Designed to ease you into Guatemalan life and give you the best possible introduction to the country. You will get to know the locals, learn the language and immerse yourself in the culture, as well as climbing Acatenango - one of Central America’s highest volcanoes with spectacular views of Mexico, El Salvador and the Pacific coast!

Week Two - Social or Construction Volunteer Placement
In week two you will have the opportunity to take part in volunteer work.  You will have the choice between a social volunteer placement and a construction volunteer project.

Week Three - The very best of Guatemala
Your final week will involve a tour of many of Guatemala’s most famous sights

Just some of the highlights of your trip will include:
  • Building homes for disadvantaged families. Handing the family the front door key to their new home is an incredibly rewarding moment that you’ll never forget!
  • Climbing the highest volcano in Guatemala!
  • Bathing in the crystal clear turquoise and emerald blue pools at Semuc-Champey and the Lanquín Caves
  • Experiencing the world famous Mayan ruins of Tikal
  • Learning Spanish
  • Relaxing on the Caribbean beaches at Livingstone

Location

Antigua – beautiful colonial city in the West of the country
Lake Atitlan – the deepest lake in South America
The town of Flores and the Tikal ruins in Northern Guatemala
Livingston - chilled out city on the Caribbean Coast
Lanquin and Semuc Champey – relatively central town and natural pools.
