India The vast country of India is a country that is not lacking culture, spice and all things nice.
In the cities, your senses will be bombarded with colourfully sights, aromatic spices, lots of noise and the general hustle and bustle of daily life. But then India is also a country of contrasts – as soon as you venture out of the city you’ll find the peace and tranquillity of the Himalayan villages or the laidback backwaters of Kerala.
The mix of the religion, festivals, relics of the colonial Raj and subsistence villages and paddy fields make India a land of discovery – no matter how many times you visit, you’ll always find something new.
Free Time You are located in a city, so there will always be plenty for you to do! Jaipur itself is quite laidback and safe and you can spend your time here doing the odd cultural visit, a bit of shopping and visiting places of interest close by.
Whilst you are not working hard on the project, there are many exciting cultural things for you to experience, such as festivals, art shows and dance performances.
There will be yoga sessions every morning at the Jaipur camp that you can attend if you wish (not weekends) and during the second week of the project, there are Indian cooking lessons available!
If you wish to make any independent excursions at the weekends whilst you are in Jaipur, have a word with your onsite project coordinator to get some ideas, detailed information or any assistance.
Getting There Flights need to be arranged into Delhi International Airport so that you arrive for the start date of your programme. You will be met from here and transferred to Agra.
