Programme Orientation
After your first night’s accommodation in Delhi you will be picked up and taken to Agra and visit the world famous love token, the Taj Mahal! On Day 3 you will receive a welcome introduction, familiarising you with the programme staff who will be assisting you throughout the programme.
On Day 4 your orientation will continue and you will receive further information about Jaipur, how to travel around safely, cultural issues, facilities available to you, information on weekend travel options and a theoretical introduction to Indian food, spices and the programme’s structure. Today you will also have your visit to Amber Fort.

Accommodation and Meals
Your accommodation throughout the programme will be in Jaipur, in a basic but clean volunteer house. Your accommodation will be based on four participants sharing, with a fan and mosquito nets in each room. Most meals are included, details of meals are outlined on the itinerary page.
Free Time
There will be plenty for you to do in your free time. Some participants plan excursions to local points of interest, whereas others will just take the time to relax. The surrounding area has so much to offer and in your free time you can use the opportunity to explore the many magnificent temples and places of historical and cultural importance.
You will be staying in Jaipur, known as India’s Pink City, whose bazaars selling embroidered leather shoes, tie dye scarves and blue pottery are well worth a visit.
Programme Support
Throughout your Indian Cooking programme you will have support and guidance from our on-site coordinator and team. You will have access to English speaking staff who will help you with translation and answer any questions you may have.
In addition you will have access to a 24 hour emergency contact number so you can contact one of our UK staff at any time should you need to.
Programme Age Limit
The volunteers on this programme may be of a broad age range. There is no upper age limit.
