India is famous world wide for its distinct cuisine, which is an unmistakable part of the country’s culture and something that binds together aspects of history, religion and climate. You now have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the interesting culture of India by taking part in a programme that unveils the mysteries of Indian cooking and the traditions that shape it, while also discovering the food of today’s India.

India Cooking Programme

Your cooking classes will run as per the itinerary for three hours in the morning from 10am to 1pm.  The group will then have lunch and the afternoon will be available for you to either take part in one of the organised activities or to explore by yourself the many charms and bazaars of Jaipur. Each day you will learn how to make 2-3 dishes, depending on the complexity of the preparation.  These dishes will be focused on:
  • Various types of North and South Indian curries
  • Indian breads
  • Rice preparations such as Biryani, Pulao
  • South Indian food
The majority of dishes will be vegetarian but you will also learn to cook some chicken recipes. Indian cuisine is deliciously diverse and wide ranging due to the country’s numerous cultural, religious and ethnic influences, therefore, your cooking programme includes a superb variety of  activities including:
  • Cultural workshops: Yoga classes, Saree Tying and Henna workshops
