The J1 Career Training Visa is the provides the opportunity for young professionals to gain extra experience and training in the USA. You have the option of finding your own job or applying for one of the jobs that are on offer on our website. You will need to have a written job offer before you apply for this programme and can start to process the visa.

As soon as you have your job offer you can apply! To be considered for a Career Training visa, you must meet these requirements:
  • Between the ages of 18 and 38 years old
  • A long-term resident of the UK and have either

    1.
    A university degree and 1 years professional experience in your field
    2. Five years professional work experience in your field, no degree.
OR you could qualify for the Internship J1 visa if you are... 
  • Between the ages of 20 and 30 years old
  • Hold a British/Irish passport
  • Have completed at least four semesters at university or have graduated from university in the past year.
Travelling in America
Your visa gives you one month for travelling on the completion of your work placement.

Location

As long as the training job you find is in your field and something that you have experience in, you can work anywhere in the United States.
 

Accommodation and Meals

It is the responsibility of your employer to help you find somewhere that is safe, cheap and conveniently located for your job if they do not offer accommodation for employees. Meals are generally not included.

Arranged Placement:
12 months £1199, 18 months £1349

Book with £195 deposit, balance due 12 wks before departure.
