This programme is perfectly suited to anyone looking to train and work in the winter sports industry, whether you are a school/university leaver or someone wanting to leave the rat race and the pressure of more regular work. You will be equipped with the necessary qualifications and you will also be put in contact with many of the major local employers.

Instructor Training Programme

This program offers one of the best opportunities to gain your NZSIA/SBINZ CSI and Stage 1 Qualifications, letting you instruct all of the way to high intermediate students. The first four weeks of the program are devoted to working on your own technique, to iron-out any bad habits or flaws. It is quite common for students at the start of their instructor programs to have their own style and not meet the “efficient” standards required by the examiner.

Along with this, during these sessions you can learn the correct terminology and instruction methods used to demonstrate the required skills, so every moment on the mountain will be a complete learning experience.

There are two main qualifications you will complete during this ski or snowboarding instructor programme – the NZSIA/SBINZ CSI and Stage 1.

Location

Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan

Accommodation and Meals

All your accommodation is included in the program, based at the small village of Hirafu. You will be staying in shared self-catering apartments/houses with other students from your course.

Meals aren’t included on the course due to each student’s varying training schedules. Students should be prepared to cater for themselves and allow a budget of around £40-50/week for meals.
