Voluntary Work

The aim of the project is to help improve the lives of the local people by enabling the community to become self-sustaining. The hands on volunteer activities provide an authentic and very real immersion into normal African lives. This is rarely, if ever, experienced on normal tourist circuits.

Volunteers play a vital role in assisting with local community projects. Typically the bulk of your working day is spent in an around the village primary school working alongside local people.

One of the major initiatives focuses on improving the village school’s infrastructure and expanding existing facilities. You will be involved with project initiatives including desk making, construction, painting, teaching, landscaping and tree planting. There may also be an opportunity to teach and coach sports and music.
