Voluntary Work
Volunteers taking part in this programme can choose between:
- Working in schools - volunteers working in schools will mainly be teaching English to the students
- Orphanages - volunteer duties will include teaching English, sports, music sewing and assisting staff with the running of the orphanage, some of the children are mentally or physically disabled.
- Language centres - increasingly young people, as well as Mongolian businessmen and woman are attending such centres to develop their conversational English.
Students are aged 18 years plus, and volunteers are encouraged to bring teaching method ideas.
Please Note: With volunteering being such a new concept in Mongolia, do not expect an easy and structured experience! Volunteers should be open-minded and adaptable like the local people.
