Voluntary Work

There are a variety of Nepal career break projects to choose from including teaching in schools and orphanages, teaching in a monastery and learning Buddhism, or working on construction projects.

Teaching in a local school
This project area allows you to work with children and make a positive contribution to the local communities. The children are very keen to learn English as this can enhance their future employment prospects.

Teaching in a monastery
This project is ideal if you all ready have an interest in Buddhism, or would like to learn more about it. Your main role is to teach English to the monks and to Tibetan children for 3-4 hours per day as well as extra curricular actives and administration.

Orphanage Volunteer
Whilst working in one of Nepal’s orphanages, you will assist with teaching English as well as supporting the children with the aim of motivating and enriching their lives.

Construction Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to assist local Nepali workers in the construction of day care centres and resource centres, as well as kitchens, bathrooms and gardens in exiting buildings such as orphanages & homes.
