Nepal Everest Base Camp and Volunteer Experience

Trip code: NEEV
Nepal Everest Basecamp Expedition

A hike to Everest base-camp is the challenge of anyone’s lifetime, but that’s just one part of this adventure expedition. Then, in case you need another adrenalin rush, you’ll take a three-day rafting trip and a jungle safari.

Orientation

Before your arrival at the project you will receive lots of further information relating to your programme, as well as hints on cultural aspects to be aware of and final pre-departure information.

Accommodation and Meals

Accommodation is included for the duration of your expedition. Accommodation styles will vary along the way from camping to staying at a Guest House. Throughout the community phase, accommodation will be in tents or with a local host family and food will be traditional Nepali cuisine, i.e. Dal- Bhat (rice, lentils and potato curry). You will receive three meals a day throughout your trip. You may be expected to participate in food preparation from time to time and will be organised into groups to do this.

Free Time

You’re not going to have much free time on this trip as it’s pretty packed already! However, your rest and relaxation days after you have completed the trek could be counted as free time, and you will also have free time in the evenings after spending the day at your volunteer project. This time can be spent exploring Chitwan/Kathmandu, trying out any bars and restaurants or you can spend time in your local community, getting to know the locals.

Project Support

Throughout your stay you will have the support and guidance of our experienced staff and team who will provide you with competent 24-hour field support throughout your stay.

Before you depart we will also provide you with a 24 hour emergency contact number so you can always reach a member of our UK team should you need to.

Expedition Age Limit

Minimum age 18, maximum age decided upon potential participant’s health.

Participant Requirements

This programme requires you to be active, so participants need to ensure they feel fit and able to join a programme of this nature. It is advisable to consult your doctor to ensure you are fit to undertake the trek to Everest base camp.
