Paid Teach and Travel China

This is an exciting new programme for adventurous people who want to experience the real China and enjoy a life changing experience in return. With this Teach and Travel China programme you will recieve full TEFL training and certification. can choose between a six week, six months, or twelve months.

This China career break programme gives you the opportunity to work as a paid English teacher and gain a recognised teaching qualification. You will receive 4 weeks training and orientation and will gain your TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate). We work with schools all over China so you are able to request where you wish to be placed and the age of the students you wish to teach.

Participants will have time in school holidays to explore China, get a chance to learn the culture and study the language.

Part A - Teaching English Training

On arrival you will attend a comprehensive and intensive four-week teacher training and orientation programme in Beijing. This includes Mandarin lessons, orientation with living, working and travelling in China and an introduction to the culture.

You will gain the English Language Company Certificate in teaching English as a foreign Language upon successful completion of the training. Also included in your training programme are cultural and social activities.

For the six-week summer course, the orientation and training consists of a one-week course.

Part B - Teach and Travel Programme

After your training and orientation, you will be given a teaching placement in a leading Chinese School. The schools we work with are based all over China and are of a high standard. All of your meals and accommodation is provided by the school. You also receive a salary of 2000RMB per month and a completion bonus at the end of your placement.

The teaching standards in these schools are high but have different methods to western schools. Students are generally weekly boarders from kindergarten age and upwards. The number of students attending each school will vary between 2000 and 10,000.
