Peru Language Classes
Volunteers get so much more out of the Peru volunteer project when they have the confidence to speak Spanish. Whether it is by improving their current language skills or learning the basics for the first time.
This experience starts by giving you a basic grounding in Spanish. Language lessons are conducted in groups with a maximum of 4 students. This means you will get lots of attention and support with learning the language. We make the classes fun too, with role-plays & videos.
The Spanish school is located in the centre of Cusco in a beautiful, historic colonial house, adjacent to the most important site of pre-Columbian Cusco, the Korikancha (Temple of the Sun). We recommend that anyone who is participating in one of our projects in Peru, and is not confident in their Spanish, attend the language school.
On your first day at the school you will have a placement test, oral and written, so that we can customise the best course for you, and can place you with other students of the same level. There are nine different levels within the school, ranging from complete beginner to superior. With a maximum of 4 students per class, you can receive the maximum level of individual attention and are able to work at your own individual level.
The programme includes plenty of trips and excursions for your free time. It's perfect to start off a gap trip to South America as you will get a unique insight to the culture of Peru whilst learning Spanish. The trips include two or three activities per week such as, city tours, cooking class, dance class, parties, videos, lectures, trips to museums.

- Overnight stay in Hotel Carmel, Lima, including airport transfers

- Return flight to Lima (though we can arrange it for you easily for an additional £120/$160. Just ask a travel adviser)
- Travel insurance
- Extra activities over and above itinerary
