Voluntary Work
The project works to alleviate the strain on the very limited school resources. Through the assistance of volunteers, the children can reap the benefits of having academic lessons (taught by you – basic Maths, English and IT) in the mornings and help with their homework in the afternoons at the homework club.
You will help in classes consisting of children that are between the ages of 7 and 15 years old. Some of the 11 year olds at the school are struggling with basic reading and simple multiplication. By giving the children special attention and through the use of personal mentoring (one volunteer to four pupils), the children have been seen to benefit greatly. You can assist with the following classroom activities:
-
Helping children with their reading and writing

- If you feel confident enough you may be able to take your own class
