Career Break Brochure

Swaziland, located in the far eastern reaches of the South African-Mozambique border, is one of the most easy-going countries in South Africa. With outstanding scenery and a mix of colonial heritage and homegrown confidence, Swaziland is something really different in Africa.

The country has a progressive and hands-on attitude towards wildlife preservation. This has endowed it with a striking bunch of national parks. Black and white rhino, elephant, and more recently, lion, have been reintroduced into the collection of national parks and game reserves. You can trek, horse ride, raft on wild rivers or cycle through many of the parks and get surprisingly close to a huge variety of wildlife. Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary was the first of its kind in Swaziland and is brilliantly run. Aside from the wildlife there is also an impressive transition zone for flora and fauna.

A town well worth a visit is Siteki in the Lebombo Mountains. The town has a government-run school to train healers and diviners. In this town you will find a mix of spiritualism and natural science.

Swaziland offers travellers a break from South Africa and it's tensions. Here you can really relax and enjoy Africa for what it has to offer - stunning natural beauty and awesome wildlife.
