Voluntary Work
Volunteers are needed to assist on a wide variety of projects. If you have any specific skills or experience then you will be able to put these to good use, but it is the time, energy and enthusiasm of the volunteers that really makes the projects a success.
We ask that all volunteers remain flexible during their time on this programme, which is constantly evolving and developing based on the needs of the community.
The are the activities you may be able to get invloved in on this project are:

Nursery schools and day care centres
- Nursery Teaching and HIV Counselling
- Primary Teaching
- Secondary Teaching
- Sports Coaching
What’s Included in the Programme
- A donation to local community projects in Tanzania
- Airport transfer to and from Kilimanjaro International Airport
- Orientation on arrival (two days)
- All accommodation during your stay at shared volunteer house
- Full support and assistance from your co-ordinator throughout your time in Tanzania
- Breakfast and dinner each day
- 24-hour contact number for emergencies
What’s Not Included in the Programme
- Personal travel insurance for the duration of your placement, which should include cover for repatriation
- All flights
- Class C permit visa for £115
- Additional tourist visa for USD$50 if you travel outside of the programme
- Any airport transfers if arriving or departing outside of the usual project dates (transfer costs are £30 / 41€ per person, one way)
- All items of a personal nature, such as curios, gifts, clothing (work and other)
- E-mail/Internet and telephone calls
- Public transport to and from the project sites when necessary
- Lunches
- Soft drinks, beer, wines and spirits
- Any excursions over and above your planned itinerary in Tanzania
