As we get older some of us find that there are more things to consider before upping and leaving and so making the decision to go takes longer. Many of us may not be ready to leave a career that we have spent years building, or have the finances to go now, leave loved ones behind or only have limited holiday allowance.
Gap Year for Grown Ups Taster Trips
We have specifically designed a range of volunteer placements for periods of 2, 3 or 4 weeks, to enable you to see what career break travel is all about. We call them ‘taster trips' as they provide an opportunity to experience what volunteering is like... you might get a taste for it and find inspiration to plan your ‘big trip'.
Trips of this length can be taken for this year's holiday if you don't have much time and can be easily arranged without upheaval or life changing decisions. Some of these trips are also an ideal introduction to voluntary work abroad and a short stint can be hugely rewarding.
