Track our travellers, you may just be surprised how familiar some of their thoughts sound… If you can't decide what to pack, are worried about saying goodbye to your family and friends, or aren't too sure whether now is the right time in life to travel, then you are not alone. Many of our travellers have the very same worries and concerns.

We thought it might just help if you could follow other grown up gappers from the very beginning of their journeys. We will show you why they have taken the decision to travel, and how they are feeling before, during and after their trips.

Sally Howse, age 44
After being made redundant, Sally took the decision that now was the time to see the world. In November 2007 she returned from a three-month trip to South Africa where she took part in the Gap Year For Grown Ups Conservation Course.  Within 48 hours of arriving back in the UK she called Gap Year For Grown Ups and booked the Malaysia Orangutan Experience programme and the Thai Adventure!
